Today, over at skilled engineer Colin Bricker's magical Denver studio, Mighty Fine Productions, Adam just finished up recording music for his second solo piano album. Titled I Alone (after the rock band Live's 1994 smash hit), this intimate project explores a handful of familiar pop and rock covers, as well as some new adventurous original material. To help celebrate this recording's release, Adam and his trio, along with some special guests, will be performing at Denver's premier jazz club, Dazzle, on Thursday, June 27th. With Luke Emig on drums and Jean-Luc Davis on bass, The Adam Bodine Trio played a refreshing daytime gig today at Denver's McNichols Civic Center Building. A great atmosphere surrounded by art and cultural exhibits, the sound of the room was outstanding and the listening audience's response was warm and fantastic. Put on by the Denver Cultural Arts Committee, part of the purpose of this performance was to highlight The Adam Bodine Trio as a Five Points Jazz Festival artist. Making its second appearance at the festival, Bodine's band (featuring the Luke/Jean-Luc lineup) looks forward to playing at the 2013 Five Points Jazz Festival at 3pm on Saturday, May 18th.

Wow! What a totally rockin', tremendously fun and truly amazing show last night! Performing a set of Nirvana classics (in celebration of what would have been Kurt Cobain's 46th birthday) to a SOLD OUT capacity crowd at Denver's Dazzle, The Adam Bodine Trio absolutely killed it! Culminating with a standing ovation, the energy in the room was absolutely phenomenal. Infinite thanks to everyone who braved the blustery weather conditions to make it out to the show, as well as to Dazzle and Jazz89 KUVO's entire staff for their benevolence, their promotional efforts and their continued support.

A rockin' Halloween inspired performance was given by the Adam Bodine Trio last Friday night at Denver's premier jazz club Dazzle. Covering an entire set of Nirvana, Adam's Trio (with Kalin Capra on bass and Johnny Schmidt on drums) put their creative spin on an hour and forty-five minutes worth of the material from the 90s grunge legends. Big thanks to the wonderful Dazzle staff and everyone else who made it out to the gig!

Yesterday's City Park Jazz gig was an incredible experience. 'Twas such a thrill to play music in front of 6,000 people, apparently the best turn out ever for a City Park Jazz opening Sunday. Infinite thanks to the City Park Jazz committee, the sound crew, the volunteers, KUVO, folks who bought CDs, people who signed up on the email list, old and new friends alike, and everybody else who was able to catch the show, whether it was in person, over the internet, or in spirit. A live recording of the performance should be available for free download soon.

Today on Denver's Jazz89 KUVO, Adam Bodine is a "featured artist." Part of the radio station's Hip History of Music celebration for the month of April, Adam was pictured on the homepage of KUVO's website next to a brief blurb about his Trio, as well as links to both adambodinetrio.com and a YouTube video of them playing "Up 'N Hear" in the KUVO studios last December. Also, various tracks from The Adam Bodine Trio's albums were spun on the air throughout the day. Bodine is extremely appreciative and humbled by this great honor.

With Kalin Capra on bass and Andrew Lacy on drums, they played three Bodine originals "The Chauffeur," "Blue Mud," and "Up 'N Hear" as well as covered Outkast's "Hey Ya!". They chatted it up with host Vincent Burkardt as well as performed several songs from Up 'N Hear. The Adam Bodine Trio made a glorious return appearance at A Fort Collins Jazz Experience today. A set for fresh ears, The Trio performed live for the first time several tunes from the new album Up 'N Hear. Thankfully, all spectators took heed of Adam's lawful reminder that urinating in the plaza's fountains was strictly prohibited.

Held this year on Saturday, May 21st in downtown Denver, Colorado's historic Five Points neighborhood, the fest has slotted Adam's Trio to play at 2pm. Last night was a special night for The Adam Bodine Trio. Thanks to Dazzle, Denver, Colorado's premier jazz club, The Trio had the privilege and pleasure of playing after one of their most favorite and inspirational musical units of all-time, The Bad Plus. Definitely a surreal and unforgettable experience, it was a really cool, and admittedly a bit nervous, situation for Adam, Kalin, and Peter to perform in The Dizzy Room Lounge while Reid, Dave, and Ethan of The Bad Plus all stuck around for a bit to listen after their show.
